Over the past three days I’ve watched a train crash from my corner apartment.

There was contortion, a playoff halftime show.
There was crying, post funeral.
There was survival, Earth long after we’re gone.

And I said to myself “two trains on the same track in this day and age? Who would’ve guessed?”
